Organization

Head of the department, as well as chairman of the board, is Michael Thuné (since July 1, 2012). Deputy Head of Department is Håkan Lanshammar.
Board members are elected every three years. Board meeting minutes are available. (In Swedish only.)

The steering group handles daily management and execution of the board´s decisions. Members of the board are: Head of the department, Heads of the divisions, Head of Education, the Head of Research, Public Relation Officer, Economist, Personnel Administrator and co-ordinators for the administrative group and the system support group. The steering group has meetings every week.

The research at the department is divided into five divisions (subdepartments):

• Computer Systems
• Computing Science
• Scientific Computing
• Systems and Control
• Visual Information and Interaction (a merger between Centre for Image Analysis and Human-Computer Interaction from January 1st 2012)

The departments education administration is handled at the Student Office (IT-kansliet).
