There is an individual, written, closed-book exam at the end of the course (Fri 17 Oct from 14:00 to 19:00 in the Polacksbacken exam hall of House 5), worth 4.5 higher-education credits (ECTS credits). You can only bring pencils and possibly a dictionary. The grade scale is as follows, when your exam mark (plus any bonus points on the assignments) is X out of 100 exam points:
| Swedish Grade | ECTS Grade | Condition |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | A | 90 <= X <= 100 |
| 5 | B | 80 <= X <= 89 |
| 4 | C | 65 <= X <= 79 |
| 3 | D | 58 <= X <= 64 |
| 3 | E | 50 <= X <= 57 |
| U | FX | 40 <= X <= 49 |
| U | F | 0 <= X <= 39 |
Recall that every assignment point beyond a total of 16 (of 20) translates into 5 bonus points for the exam, but also that they are only valid this academic year!
Exam 1 of 17 Oct 2008
. Older exams are at the home pages of the autumn 2007, spring 2006, summer 2004, and summer 2003 instances of the course.
PhD students can replace the standard project by a more sophisticated project in order to be relieved of the assignments and written exam: contact Pierre Flener.
