Schedulability Analysis Assignment

Assignments handed in before Oct 16, 14:00, will be corrected by Wednesday, Oct 17 (i.e., before the exam). Note, that the deadline is on Oct 26, 10:00.

The purpose of this assignment is to give students a chance to practice the theories covered by lecturers and course literature. The assignment will be focusing on the Rate Monotonic (RM) and Fixed Priority Schedulability (FPS) analyses. The assignment will also cover how to take into account factors like context switches, blocking and jitter in the analysis.

You will use both Times and FpsCalc in this assignment.

The assignment are available as a separate document in ps and pdf.

The assignment should be solved individually or in groups of two. The solution should be handed in into Pavel Krcal's mailbox (building 1, 4th floor) no later than 26th of October, 10am.

Preparation

Read chapter 6 and chapter 8 in the course book Real-Time Systems by Jane W.S. Liu.
