Doing the Master thesis abroad

Several excellent universities are searching for students from Uppsala. Among them:

Tongji University, Shanghai, China

School of Software Engineering, in sparkling Shanghai, offers theses within the department (and, if the market permits in Chinese industry). Core topcs are: Software Engineering, Human Computer Interaction, Main Frame Programming and Embedded Systems.

Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea

The university is well situated in central Seoul. They offer thesis in computer systems, formal systems, realtime systems, distributed systems and related fields.

Telecom Bretagne, Brest, France

Telecom Bretagne is a French Engineering School (Teknisk Högskola) situated in Brest in Western France. They offer projects in Telecommunication, Computer Networking, Distributed Systems, AI and Human-Computer Interaction.

Université de la Méditerranée, Marseille, France

Universite de la Mediterranee, well situated in a national park, on walking distance from the sea, offers projects in Computer Networking, Real Time Systems and Distributed Systems.

About the projects above
The universities can all offer projects in English, with supervision in English, and will all assist with practical issues such as lodging. The application dates vary, and can in some cases be negotiated.

The universities do not have a catalogue of projects, but will instead create a project for you, based on your interests and the possibilities of the universitiy. Tongji in Shanghai offers these instructions - they can be applicable to other universities as well.
