Questions for the seminar on Nov 17
- What "real-life" problem does the paper address? Are the conclusions applicable in the real-life problem situuation and do they provide insight/answers/solutions in/to that situation?
- Is the paper based on a firm conceptual framework and consistent theoretical reasoning, made explicit in the paper?
- Does the methodological approach seem well thought-out and appropriately applied? Is it consistent with the theoretical/conceptual framework?
- What kind of results do they present? Do the results seem valid and trustworthy?
- Do the outcomes/conclusions seem consistent with the data/resutls and the theoretical grounding?
- Do the authors base their reasoning on assumptions not made explicit?
- Do the authors limit their reasoning in ways that may bias the outcomes/conclusions of their study?
- Do the authors generalise their results/conclusions beyond their capacity?
