Short presentation
Dr. Giulia Perugia is a postdoctoral researcher at Uppsala Social Robotics Lab where she is involved in the project COIN, Co-adaptive human-robot interactive systems, a project funded by the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF). At present, she is researching novel methods of human-robot affective co-adaptation (i.e., the bidirectional process of adaptation of a robot to the emotional states of humans) to apply to educational scenarios.

Biography
Dr. Giulia Perugia received a BA in Literature and Linguistics from the University Roma Tre, a MSc in Cognitive Science from University of Siena, and a double degree PhD in Assistive Technologies from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e). In November 2018, she joined Uppsala Social Robotics Lab as a postdoctoral researcher. She is interested in modeling the human-robot emotional and social linkage for educational and assistive purposes.
