Diane was born and raised in the French-speaking part of Switzerland in Lausanne (VD). She completed her Bachelor studies in Information Science at the Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (HTW) in Chur (GR), in the German-speaking part of the country, before coming to Uppsala University to complete her Master's studies in Human-Computer Interaction. In February 2017, she started her PhD studies in Human-Computer Interaction at the Department for Information Technology.
