Applied Numerical Linear Algebra
The research in this group targets the development of fast and reliable iterative solvers for systems of equations as arising from discretizations of PDEs on structured or unstructured grids. A large part of the activities is focused on various preconditioning techniques. Typical application areas are computational wave propagation and computational (visco)elasticity.
The group consists of four senior researchers; Maya Neytcheva (head of group), Sverker Holmgren, Elisabeth Larsson, and Kurt Otto, as well as a PhD student; Elena Sundkvist.
The group belongs to the Division of Scientific Computing at the Department of Information Technology.
