Call for papers
The first ABU3QCE is a local symposium dedicated to the exchange of research and practice aimed at enhancing quality in computing education. This includes all fields of computing education; computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, computer information technology and software engineering education. ABU3QCE aims to publish quality papers that combine teaching and learning experiences with theoretically founded research within the field. The symposium is a collaborative initiative of Al Baha University, KSA, and Uppsala University, Sweden.
ABU3QCE is a single-track symposium with research and practice presentations as well as working groups, keynotes and invited talks.
The symposium aims at a moderate size, relaxed atmosphere, and lively discussions. Therefore, only a limited number of submissions from Al Baha University and Uppsala University staff and students, and invited guests from regional universities will be accepted.
The symposium language is English.
To ensure a varied selection of high quality contributions, submissions will be reviewed. All papers presented at the symposium will be included in the online proceedings

Notification of acceptance: February 8, 2015
Submission of camera-ready manuscripts: February 15, 2015
Registration deadline: February 17, 2015
Symposium: February 24-25, 2015
Submissions are invited in all areas related to the symposium theme. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching innovations, best practices, assessment development, and case studies in computing education.
- Use of technology to support education in computer science and engineering and related sciences.
- Cultural aspects of teaching and learning in computer science and engineering education.
- Teaching and learning of non-technical content in computing engineering education.
- Computing education research: methods and findings.
