UPMARC Day: Past, Present and Future of Parallel Programming

The UPMARC day will take place at Campus Polacksbacken in the conference room Polhemsalen.

Travel Information

Uppsala is located 72 km north of Stockholm and 36 km north of Sweden's largest airport, Arlanda. Upon arrival at Arlanda, you can get to Uppsala in the following ways:

Bus:

Bus 801 runs every 30 minutes. From Terminal 5 to Uppsala Central Station takes 45 minutes and costs around SEK 100. There are ticket machines in terminals 2, 4 and 5 (the bus company is UL). Tickets can also be bought at the information desk in the terminal. Finally, you can also pay by credit card in the bus.

Train:

There are various trains going from Arlanda to Uppsala. The journey time is approximately 20 minutes, and costs around SEK 200. Tickets can be bought in SkyCity, next to terminal 5.

Taxi:

A taxi from Arlanda to Uppsala should cost around SEK 500. Ask the driver for a fixed price. You can also reserve a taxi. The two largest companies are Uppsala Taxi (+46 18 100 000) and Taxi Kurir (+46 18 123 456).
