Uppsala Social Robotics Lab
Robots are increasingly being studied as partners that collaborate safely with people in different contexts but, as scientists strive to move the robots out of the factories and better integrate them into our daily lives, human social skills remain unmatched in robots. We aim to design and develop robots that learn to interact socially with humans and bring benefits to the society we live in, for example in application areas such as education, e-learning, healthcare and assistive technology.
Research Interests
- Synergies between robot appearance, behavior and quality of the interaction
- Engagement and user modelling in human-robot interaction
- Social learning and human-robot co-adaptation
- Robot personalization
