Collaboration

The Department of Information Technology collaborates with educational institutions and the local community by being involved in activities such as study visits and SciFest. Students, teachers and researchers collaborate with both industry and society, covering a wide range of areas through their work with graduate theses, guest lectures and research collaborations.

SCHOOLS & THE GENERAL PUBLIC

SciFest - SciFest is an annual three day science festival for children in Uppsala with more than 8000 visitors. SciFest 2022 was cancelled due to the unstable pandemic situation. Read more about our SciFest participation on our IT specific SciFest website.

INDUSTRY & SOCIETY

The Department of Information Technology and Uppsala University Innovation have – together with representatives from the Swedish industry – conducted several AIMdays in the field of Information and Communication Technologies.

HIRE OUR STUDENTS

UU Careergate is the preferred career network for students and graduates at Uppsala University. The site provides employers opportunities to post positions or manage their brands towards our students and graduates.

Kompetensguiden has been developed by the Uppsala Uppsala Union of Engineering and Science Students (UTN) in dialogue with representatives from the university. The aim is to offer prospective employers a structured picture of the training programs in technology and science available at Uppsala University (in Swedish only).

Uppsala Union of Engineering and Science Students’ career fair Utnarm is organized once a year, on the Thursday during week 45. Here students can meet companies and organisations and discuss possibilities for collaboration on future thesis projects, summer jobs and employment after graduation.
