  • 12 mar: All your submitted reports have been published on the project side.
  • 12 mar: Today is the deadline for submitteing your project reports. Please submit them via e-mail to Jan Gulliksen
  • 8 mar: Wednesday and Friday this week are scheduled for reporting back on your individual assignments. We will schedule this as follows: Wednesday March 11 - Meeting all students having selected interview questions 1, 2 or 4 Friday March 13 - Meeting all students that have selected interview question 3 Participation in the event that covers your interview question is mandatory. I have not been able to accommodate all your requests about when to participate, so in case you are unable to come, we will have to come up with another suggestion for a time. What will happen on Wednesday and Tuesday is an informal discussion about your interviews. I will ask each one of you to speak a couple of minutes about your results and then we will mutually discuss each others experiences. There is no need to prepare any presentation.
  • 9 feb: Schedule corrected in when Neil Maiden's lectures are taking place.
  • 6 feb: Students can download the REDEPEND tool at: http://hcid.soi.city.ac.uk/research/redepend/index.html (User = redepend, Password = redepend123, Download the 3 files as instructed)
  • 2 feb: Instructions for the project has been published.
  • 29 jan: The lecture tomorrow on use cases and uml is cancelled due to illness.
  • 25 jan: For those of you following the Swedish text book the lecture on Tues day January 27 is covered by chapter 4 in our book.
  • 25 jan: Most of the remaining lectures have been moved to room 1211 see schedule for details.
  • 23 jan: Schedule (room) change: the lecture is in room 1211.
  • 21 jan: About Visio - Unfortunately it only runs on Windows. You can solve the problem by running Windows on your Mac. Free software for this can be found at: www.virtualbox.org.
  • 17 jan: The first version of the course page is launched.

Examination

This is a project-based course that requires active involvement. Examination through individual hand-in assignment and a larger group project.
For those interested in higher grades than just the pass grade there is a voluntary Written Home Exam that may warrant you with a higher grade.

Course Literature

The literature in the course will mainly be scientific articles presented and linked to at the Schedulepage, more information at course start.
For those of you that read and understand Swedish a good guide through the course is the book Användarcentrerad systemdesign by Jan Gulliksen and Bengt Göransson, Studentlitteratur, 2002. The book has its own web site.
