Results are reported to the student register Ladok using a number of module codes (formerly called exam codes). Since the word module has a different meaning for the OS and OSPP courses, we will continue to use the term exam codes when referering to the Ladok module codes.
Some exam codes are graded with Fail/Pass and others with Fail, 3, 4 and 5. The final grade for the course is computed as an weighted average of the module codes graded with 3, 4 and 5.
For the OS (1DT044) course the following Ladok exam codes are used to report results.
Exam code | Hp | Grading scale | Comment | ||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Nr | Name | Symbol | |||
0300 | Theory | T | 2 | Fail/Pass | |
0400 | Assignments | A | 2 | Fail, 3, 4, 5 | This grade is calculated by rounding the average grade of the three programming assignments for module 1, 2 and 4. |
0500 | Written exam | E | 1 | Fail, 3, 4, 5 |
The final grade (FG) is computed by rounding the weighted average of the assignments and final written exams.
$$ FG = \left[ {2A + E \over 3} \right] $$
Updated grading formula
Due to the Covid-19 situation the e-exam Thursday 2020-03-19, 08:00 - 13:00 will no longer take place at the exam hall (Bergsbrunnagatan 15, Sal 2). Instead, you will do the same e-exam, at the same date and time from home using your private computer. The e-exam will therefore no longer be graded with fail, 3, 4 5 but with fail, pass. As a consequence, the formula for the final course grade will no longer include the e-exam.
$$ FG = \left[ {2A \over 2} \right] = A $$
If you are worried how this will affect your final grade on the course, remember that this is an extra ordinary situation and we all have to adapt quickly to these new circumstances and that we do this in order to help fighting the spreading of the Corona virus.
For the OS (1DT096) course the following Ladok exam codes are used to report results.
